It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Vixen founder and lead guitarist, Jan Kuehnemund, who lost a fierce battle with cancer on Thursday, October 10, 2013. Though most well known for her gifted guitar playing and other musical talents, Jan was a rare friend and beautiful in every sense of the word. Humble, thoughtful, loyal and kind, she was the most gracious of women, possessing the quiet strength of a true warrior. She genuinely loved and appreciated her friends and fans more than most could ever know. Those who were most fortunate to have known her and loved her are heartbroken at the loss of Jan, whose spirit will shine through her music eternally.
Amanda Hardy has been singing for as far back as she can remember. Guided heavily by the “Seattle Sound of Grunge” - the likes of Soundgarden, and Alice In Chains, she also touts Led Zeppelin and the Beatles as contributing to her sound, with her biggest vocal influence being Layne Staley. Hardy’s taste in music is anywhere from Jazz to Hard Rock.
Her rock ‘n’ roll chops have landed her gigs such as The Layne Staley Tribute, The Puyallup Fair, and on the bill with rock greats such as Queensryche and Styx to name a few.
Description Hardy is currently in the studio recording her 1st single with Producer/Engineer Scotty Olson (former guitarist for Heart and Alice in Chains Unplugged.) Also producer for Alice in Chains, Deftones, Queensryche and more.

Amanda Hardy (vocals/rhythm guitar), Austin Cass (lead guitar), and Jerad Lewis (drums) rocked the Capital Theater in Olympia, Wa. on 10-4-13. Here is the second song of the set, Amanda's original "Ugly Girl"
This song is seriously fun to play! Whak is a rad a dog, he's guitar parts are sick. So fun to play. Also 100% sure I play this wrong, but it doesn't sound too bad. :) Also sorry for the clean part in the bridge, my guitar is in tune but the intonation is out!
