Angeline Saris: featured on The WiMN’s Front and Center weekly column

Front and Center: Professional Touring Bassist, Angeline Saris

WiMN: What made you choose bass above other instruments?
AS: When I was 15, I was playing clarinet in the wind ensemble in high school. I think my teacher could tell I was pretty uninspired. He said the bass player from the jazz band was graduating the following year and asked me if I had any interest in taking his spot. I remember thinking that the bass seemed like the *coolest* instrument ever. I studied privately all year and the rest is history!  full interview http://www.thewimn.com/front-center-professional-touring-bassist-angeline-saris/
