Meghan Kerin: Serratia - in E Minor

Meghan Kerin, according to her Facebook is currently on a guitar hiatus but her playing is well worth checking out... this video from three years ago.

Meghan Kerin: I wrote a solo over Creamer Music's backing track in E minor. He has great backing tracks! I had a lot of fun jamming on this one. I decided to name it "Serratia" pronounced "Ser-ash-ia" after a bacteria I studied in my Microbiology class, "Serratia marcescens." Serratia marcescens grows beautiful red colonies when incubated at room temperature, plus the name is just pretty.

Thank you for watching and please subscribe! I have a facebook page now. It's called Meghan the Metal Queen, naturally. Check it out! It's the best way to get in touch with me.

Tina Guo: with Tim Helisek - Spiegel im Spiegel

Recording at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church- "Spiegel im Spiegel" in German literally can mean both "mirror in the mirror" as well as "mirrors in the mirror", referring to an infinity mirror, which produces an infinity of images reflected by parallel plane mirrors: the tonic triads are endlessly repeated with small variations as if reflected back and forth.

HEAVY TIGER

Some say power trio. Others talk about all girl band. But what it comes down to in the end of the day, is that Heavy Tiger is an impressive and unique rock 'n' roll act. Classic riffs with attitude. Think KISS meets Thin Lizzy and you´re pretty close. When you hear it, you´ll know it, don´t have to figure it out. Heavy Tiger uses Orange Amplifiers. Maja Linn use Lundgren Guitar Pickups. Heidi Shepherd,Carla Harvey: Butcher Babies, Aftershock Festival 2014 Jack Lue Series

Butcher Babies is an American metal band from Los Angeles, California. Frontwomen Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey, guitarist Henry Flury (Amen), bassist Jason Klein (Azdachao) and drummer Chris Warner (Scars of Tomorrow) make up the band.[1] The band so far has released one EP, and one Studio album.[1]

Their debut album, Goliath, was released on July 9, 2013 via Century Media Records. It sold 3,300 copies in the US during its first week of release and charted at No. 3 on the Billboard Heatseeker chart and No. 112 on The Billboard 200 chart.[2][3]

Butcher Babies' music has been described by critics as Neo-Thrash, shock rock, and Heavy Metal. The band has cited their influences as,[21] Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Slipknot, and many more. However, the band Plasmatics had the biggest influence on the band. In an interview, they stated "We are big fans of Wendy O. Williams. We took the name from the Plasmatics Song “Butcher Baby“.

Wendy was a bad ass… she didn’t give a fuck what anyone thought… we share that spirit".[22] In an interview with Revolver Magazine, Carla said: "As a biracial kid growing up in the Detroit area, I got a lot of shit for loving hard rock and metal, and seeing musicians that were also African American playing the music I loved made me strong enough to say, “Fuck you, I’m going to like what I want.”[8] While Heidi had said "My heroes are Slipknot, Wendy O. Williams, Gwen Stefani, and Joan Jett. Most of them being females that defy the male dominance in music!"[8] They also stated in an interview, they are heavily influenced by horror movies such as The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, House of 1000 Corpses, and The Devils Rejects.[22]

Jerin is a Canadian born Singer-Songwriter and Actress who has come a long way from Ottawa, Ontario. Formerly known as the "sister of the quints" she has emerged as an artist and personality in her own right. Her family moved south to Houston while Jerin was in High School.

Always with her hand in music and the arts Jerin moved to Los Angeles after school to realize her dreams. Not without bumps along the way; her experiences are reflected in her first EP "Love is Not." Her record is a blend of 90's contemporary music with indie undertones and a current pop-rock sound. Jerin's influences range from Lisa Loeb and Jewel, to singer-songwriters such as Sara Bareilles, and Ellie Goulding among many others. She admires talents from the eclectic to current pop stylings, and finds inspiration from all sources of music.

While writing with singer-songwriter Craig Banks in their former Band "Movie Night," she met Producer Dean Dichoso. A year, and some life-experience later Jerin found she had music of her own to share, and collaborated with Dichoso to create her first EP. Fluctuating from reflective and catchy, to haunting and beautiful, Jerin is thrilled with the manor in which her record has turned out. Dean Dichoso was the perfect Producer and collaborator to voice the emotions and stylings essential to capturing Jerin's voice. She is greatly looking forward to sharing her music with the world.
