Eef, the-tall-Dutch-girl-with-the-red-guitar, seamlessly blends traditional blues with funky and contemporary riffs, creating her own groovy Eef-style. Eef has self-produced three albums that get airplay across the US as well as in France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Argentina and Australia. Occasionally she tours Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee and The Netherlands. Eef has appeared three times on legendary Sunshine Sonny Payne's King Biscuit radio show and has shared the stage with many great musicians including Ana Popovic, Mike Zito and Eden Brent.
With her band Eef and the Blues Express she has opened for Coco Montoya, Tinsley Ellis, Nick Moss, Deanna Bogart, Trampled Under Foot, Samantha Fish and Bernard Allison.
Eef won the award for "Songwriter" in the CO Blues Society Members Choice Awards 2014; she also was a finalist in the "Arranger" category, and a nominee for 'Vocalist'.
With her band she was in the CO IBC finals three years in a row, of which two years they came in second place. Eef runs a few projects and is part of a few more:
· Eef and the Blues Express, a 3, 4, or 6 piece band, depending on the occasion. This band plays blues, soul and groove, both covers as well as Eef's originals.
· Eef of Destruction. This is Eef's duet that plays mostly in restaurants, patio's, and coffee houses. The repertoire ranges from up-tempo blues to a little jazz, soul, and a touch of Americana.
· She Groovez, a 6 piece female dance band. This is a party band mostly for private parties. The ladies play old school R&B, Motown, soul, and a tat of blues.
· Women Rock the Night, a Woodward Productions all female show that plays about once a quarter. http://www.eefguitar.com/
