Divinity Roxx: US Summer Tour dates 2017

The weekend that I performed at 'Black Women Rock' was pretty insane. The band and I drove from New York to Columbus, OH to perform at a venue called Copious Notes. (10+ hours) Show was dope. We even played a lil Prince. A lil Rage, and the spot was pretty packed. The opening band was killin' too. Good Times. Well, the Air BnB I booked wasn't glorious but all in all it was a good trip.
Before the show I presented a Master Class to the students of Fort Hayes High School of the Performing Arts. Gotta be on your toes for that. You never know what they're gonna ask. They asked some great questions.

After the show I caught a 6am flight to Detroit, performed at 'Black Women Rock', Always a dope line-up. I met some women I wasn't hip to but definitely diggin, and I also caught up with some of my favorite artists. Stayed up all night to catch another 6 am flight to Philly and gave another Master Class to Gerald Veasley's Bass Boot Camp. That was really special.

I was tired. But I know I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I am often inspired by the women I'm around. Women who somehow "pull it off" every day despite lack of sleep, lack of funds, and lack of support. They find a way. Jessica Care Moore is one such woman. She created 'Black Women Rock' in 2004 as a platform where black women who play rock and roll music could perform and pay homage to the women who came before them. She's a legendary poet, an activist, a mom, a book publisher, an entrepreneur, and she's also my friend. She pulls off miracles every day. That's encouraging. It certainly inspires me to keep going.

There were many awe-inspiring performers, activists, musicians, visual artists, thinkers, doers, and business owners in attendance at 'Black Women Rock'.
Most of them are my good friends.
I've included links and information about some of them below.
Check them out.
I'm sure you'll love what you discover.

Plus I've included an exclusive download of "Rebel/Killa," for everyone who asks about that track. Keep reading.
