Going to Hell is one of my favorite songs on the “Smell the Roses” album. We decided to shoot a music video for the song where a dashing devil wreathed in flame amps up the passion. We had never used fire as an element in our music videos, and that made the video shoot especially thrilling!
The core message of the song comes to life in a visual format. The blues was once thought of as the devil's music, and that notion is contrasted with the truth of the matter, that no-one is superior or inferior to their fellow human beings, even if they've managed to convince themselves that they are.
