These songs will be re-recorded in new versions at a later stage. However, The CIC decided to let her fans have the Demo versions for free now, since these songs are about issues that are currently getting a lot of press attention in several countries; the potential dangers of big Government´s infringement on people´s rights and freedoms, hypocrisy and the battle for people´s minds and souls.
"Illusions Are Dying" was written when The CIC lived in Los Angeles in 2010. It was inspired by numerous scandals, involving politicians who had been caught with their pants down. It is about how some people do and say anything to gain trust from potential voters, only to be exposed as hypocrites. It also deals with how our digital society has resulted in a loss of privacy.
This song is from a DEMO, recorded in 2010. It is a waste of time to comment on production, overall sound, guitar sound, vocal performance /sound etc. The recording took place before The CIC officially endorsed any brands or got the sound she has today.
She now plays the one in the world Ibanez Fachion 7 prototype 7string guitar. She also endorses EMG pickups, Audix Microphones, Laney amps and PreSonus home recording equipment. She uses Jim Dunlop guitar pics and Ernie Ball strings.
