Fabiana Testa: J. S. Bach, Inventions

Fabiana Testa

Born and raised in Rome, Italy. Started playing guitar at the age of 14 but fell in love with music way sooner than that. Tried to put my tiny hands on a Gibson LP when I was 7…had to wait a little longer before I could have my first guitar lesson. Since then I’ve been playing for 15 years, graduated from two different schools, one in Rome (Percentomusica) and the other in Los Angeles (MI’s GIT), where I lived and played for a little over two years.Played in small clubs with all sorts of bands since the age of 16 in Rome, while keeping studying music and got my first professional gig at the age of 23 with Italian top artist Massimo Ranieri, with whom I toured from 2007 till 2010 almost non-stop, playing over 450 sold-out venues all around Italy, France and Canada.
Moved to Los Angeles to attend world renowned GIT at Musicians Institute at the beginning of 2011, graduated the following year in September and got awarded by the faculty as Outstanding Student.
Moved back in Rome, Italy in May 2013, where I am currently working as a freelance guitarist and guitar instructor.

I enjoy playing different styles and I am always open to expand my musical knowledge by meeting other players and listen to new music.

J. S. Bach, Invention #9 in A minor

One of Jimmy's Etudes I learned in GIT.
Though I started attending the school a year after he passed away, I have the feeling he was a pretty special person. Here's to you Jimmy :)
