Annie Grunwald: recovering from all the madness at NAMM

So I am still recovering from all the madness that was NAMM 2014, haha holy shit. I really want to say thank you to all the guys at Seymour Duncan for inviting me to the show this year and just being super kind to me the whole time :) Scott Olson,Scott Marceau, Craig Costigan, Keith Merrow, Seymour Duncanhimself, among many others. I had a sick time seeing the guys from Conquering Dystopia (and Wes Hauch as a guest) perform at their debut show, and loved how their Friday band signing was the same time as my performance so I got to play for them. Everyone at Strandberg Guitarworks and Randall Amplifiers were super friendly to hang/talk to and let me try out their stuff! HUGE thanks to Dave Reffett for being the sweetest guy ever in general and also for interviewing me for Dangerous Guitar and inviting me to play the NAMM Metal Jam-everyone I met and played with there were badasses! (was amazing to finally meet you Michael Angelo!!)

I also had a great time hanging with a bunch of awesome lady friends throughout the week :D Had a nice time chilling with missNikki Simmons on her secret rooftop spot aha, was great to meet ALL the female guitar players from the photoshoot Laurie Monk put together, hangs with Sarah and Carissa, and catch up with Becca who I haven't seen since Berklee! I was stoked to meet a ton of new people this year as well, you know who you are :D

And of course hangs with my good ol palz Ivan Chris Tori Craig,Joe, Danny, Ben, Steph, and Derek made the trip that much more hilarious and awesome ahah. I was practically crying having to leave that beautiful California weather but now it's back to Boston and back to reality haha. Time for lots of music projects to unfold and get back to work! Thanks everyone for a hella gooood tiemzzzzzzz \m/
