Chantel McGregor

The Bradford / UK based guitarist / vocalist delivers the sounds and technique of ROBIN TROWER, the feel of BONNIE RAITT, the inspiration of JIMI HENDRIX, the influence of STEVIE RAY VAUGHN, the energy of JOE BONAMASSA and the voice of STEVIE NICKS ... unique overall package. Chantel McGregor is probably what you would call her "Prodigy" in the UK. The gifted guitarist always knew where she wanted to go. Following the call of the blues, she soon embarked on her music career. At eight, she was the youngest Brit to pass a Rock School Exam. From more than one record label, she got to hear at 14: "Great voice, but girls do not play guitar in the way!" As you can see today, Chantel plays her guitar the way she wants it. After the B of Leeds College of Music, she was the first student ever to leave college with a perfect grade and 18 "distinctions". Chantel McGregor is only 31 years old, she graduated from Leeds College of Music and graduated with honours. In 2011, she was voted best young artist of the year in England, followed by other prestigious awards. Their current CD "Like no other" shows their diversity between slow blues, British blues rock as well as poppy rock songs. You can look forward to her album "Lose Control", which will be released in September! McGregor has been on stage with Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, Ryan McGarvey, and many others, and in her young career she has already been honoured with awards!
