During the summer of 2019, Yvette Young traveled to the Seymour Duncan tiny house, located just outside of Santa Barbara, CA, to film our second Seymour Duncan "Portrait Series" video. Yvette is an exceptional musician. Known primarily for her unique two-hand-tapping technique, use of complex tunings, and masterful guitar work with her band, Covet, Yvette is also a brilliant acoustic guitarist, song-writer, lyricist, and pianist.
Yvette has an expansive discography, including a full-length album, "effloresce," and an EP, "Currents" with her band, Covet, as well as two solo acoustic EPs and a solo piano EP. Covet is currently in the studio recording their second full-length record, which is scheduled to drop in 2020. Yvette plays a variety of Seymour Duncan pickups including the Five-Two for Strat Set, Alnico II Pro for Tele Set, and SA-6 Mag Mic acoustic soundhole pickup.
