VOX Amplification celebrates Women's History Month with indie-pop/alternative/punk guitarist, Lisa Bianco with our Women Who Rock VOX series!
Fascinated by her bother playing the slide riff from U2's 'Bullet the Blue Sky,' she knew from that point that she wanted to pick up the guitar. Her relationship with guitar playing has given her the ability to express herself in the best way she knows how. In awe of their stage presence, lyrics empowering attitudes, Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders Courtney Love of Hole have paved the way for Lisa as a guitar player to continue to push boundaries on-stage and in the studio for musicians everywhere.
Although the industry has come a long way, Lisa feels there is still plenty of room for growth in the industry to understand that women can truly pick up an instrument rock just as hard as everyone else 🤘! In Lisa's words, ""we're moving slowly, but surely."" As the musical director of an all-female jam called Gritty in Pink, Lisa brings her own inspiration to women in the industry who have all types of playing abilities and talents. In 2023 we can look forward to two new records coming out as well as a tour. You can also catch Lisa doing local gigs around LA with her AC10 along for the ride, so be sure to check her out!
