“Recently, I’ve been breaking out of this chokehold of, ‘You play guitar, you have to be in a jam band or play blues.’ I’m influenced by everything from hip-hop, punk, funk, rock—everything. I don’t wanna be stuck playing one genre for the rest of my life. I want to combine those genres and make my own music.”
