Biography
PARADOXX is an all-female hard rock and heavy metal band formed in Tokyo in February 2021. The band was assembled by guitarist KAOЯI, who actively recruited members through social media to realize her vision of a powerful five-piece girl metal group. Their sound is characterized by a "heavy yet melodic" style, featuring aggressive twin-guitar harmonies, soaring vocals, and a dynamic rhythm section.
Since their live debut in July 2021, the band has steadily climbed the ranks of the Japanese rock scene, performing at major festivals such as NAON no YAON and gaining significant media attention, including a cover feature in the renowned metal magazine BURRN! (METALLION). Their music explores the concept of shifting perspectives—the idea that viewing the world from a different angle reveals a completely new reality—which serves as the thematic inspiration behind their name.
