Biography

unpolished* is an all-female alternative rock and punk band from Los Angeles, California. The band was formed in 2024 after vocalist Mary Bugbee and guitarist Celinda Chang met by chance at a local rock show. Bonding over a shared passion for music and influences ranging from My Chemical Romance and Green Day to The Runaways, they quickly recruited drummer Jasmine Day and made their live debut in April 2024.

With the addition of bassist Stephanie De Santos, the band cemented its current lineup. Blending grungy angst, punk rock defiance, and catchy pop-punk hooks, unpolished* quickly began turning heads in the LA rock scene with their high-energy, unapologetic live performances and raw, feminine songwriting.
