Biography

Zilqy is a global all-female metal band from Japan, pioneering a hard-hitting style they define as "Post-Melodic Nu Metal." Formed by prominent figures from Japan's heavy metal landscape—including bassist Miho (formerly of LOVEBITES) and guitarist Toki (formerly of Aldious)—the band combines heavy Western rock soundscapes and electronic grooves with distinct Japanese melodic sensibilities. Their name is a portmanteau of Zilch (nothing) and Queen (sovereign), symbolizing a queen who belongs to no one yet can be everyone's sovereign.
