Biography
VAMPIRE BATS is a Japanese all-female psychobilly and punk rock band. The group is spearheaded by Kyoto-based veteran guitar-vocalist YOU, who brings extensive rock and roll experience from her time in previous bands such as ASTRO BABYS, Cherry Bomb Candies, and Pink Moon Babies. Blending aggressive punk energy, horror-inspired aesthetics, and classic rockabilly sensibilities, the band delivers a sound they describe as "mysteriously cool" yet "poppy and easy."
Operating closely with the indie label Gollipop Record, the band entered a new chapter in early 2026 with the addition of new member Yurane Hoshino. They garnered significant underground attention with the music video for their blazing psychobilly track, "Witch Stomp," leading up to the release of their highly anticipated debut full-length album in the summer of 2026.
