Biography
SKORTS is a New York City-based alternative rock and post-punk quartet formed in 2023. The band consists of Alli Walls (lead vocals, guitar), Char Smith (lead guitar, vocals), Emma Welch (bass, vocals), and Max Berdik (drums). Formed out of serendipitous encounters across local guitar shops and venues in NYC, SKORTS quickly became a dominant force in the underground circuit, famously earning the title of Oh My Rockness's "Hardest Working Band" in 2024. Their sound blends post-punk power with dreamy shoegaze textures, subtle 80s glam, and gothic undertones, anchored by compelling vocal harmonies and dynamic guitar interplay.
