Extensive Biography

Nova Twins are a pioneering British rock duo formed in London in 2014, consisting of childhood best friends Amy Love (vocals/guitar) and Georgia South (bass). Defying traditional genre boundaries, the duo has carved out a revolutionary space in modern heavy music by fusing punk rock, heavy metal, electronic bass music, hip-hop, and pop into an aggressive, high-energy sonic cocktail they aptly dub "urban punk."

Growing up in multicultural London, both musicians experienced the lack of visible representation for women of color in rock and heavy music first-hand, fueling their fierce DIY ethos and determination to build their own lane. After grinding through the underground UK circuit, releasing independent EPs, and catching the attention of rock royalty like Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), the duo gained widespread international acclaim.

A major turning point arrived with the release of their critically acclaimed debut studio album, Who Are the Girls? (2020), which challenged industry norms and earned widespread critical praise for its raw political bite and electrifying production. Their explosive momentum continued with their sophomore album, Supernova (2022), which received a prestigious Mercury Prize shortlist nomination. Nova Twins have since become festival staples across the globe, sharing stages with artists like Bring Me the Horizon, Foo Fighters, and Yungblud, while actively using their platform to champion diversity in rock through initiatives like their community-driven Voice of a Generation network.
