40 Years of ROSY VISTA: Anniversary Concert at the Niedersachsenstadion
Four decades of band history, countless concerts, releases, encounters, and shared experiences: 2024 ROSY VISTA looked back on their 40th anniversary. But one thing was clear to the band from the start: this anniversary shouldn't just be celebrated anywhere. For such a special milestone, ROSY VISTA wanted to wait for the right moment and the perfect stage.
And sometimes life writes the best stories. On July 5, 2025, that very opportunity presented itself: ROSY VISTA were invited to the big 60th anniversary party of the Scorpions at the Niedersachsenstadion in Hanover. Suddenly it was clear: there could hardly have been a more fitting setting for celebrating 40 years of ROSY VISTA. So, although the anniversary was celebrated a little late, it was in a place and setting that the band couldn't have wished for more.
The fact that ROSY VISTA were able to celebrate their anniversary on the stage of the Niedersachsenstadion as part of the big 60th anniversary party of the Scorpions made this evening a very special chapter in their band's history.
“Of course, we were absolutely thrilled about this invitation. We've known and appreciated each other for many years, and our paths have crossed repeatedly over the decades. We've regularly met at concerts, events, parties hosted by mutual friends, or birthdays. There are also musical connections: Barbara Schenker, sister of Rudolf and Michael Schenker, who sadly passed away far too soon, played keyboards for ROSY VISTA for a while. We know each other, we respect each other – and that's why it was all the more wonderful for us to be able to be part of this special evening.”
Four decades of music – and still today with three musicians from the original lineup – ultimately means far more than just a number. They represent rehearsal rooms and studios, small and large stages, records and songs, successes and setbacks, changes and new beginnings – and above all, the people who have accompanied a band for such a long time. Musicians, friends, families, promoters, the media, and of course, the audience have accompanied ROSY VISTA on this journey and have repeatedly contributed to ensuring that this extraordinary band story continues to this day.
“When you start a band, nobody really thinks seriously about where you’ll be 40 years later. And then suddenly you’re standing on stage at the Niedersachsenstadion and you realize what a long journey you’ve come. It was an incredibly emotional moment for us. Not just because of the scale of the event, but because all four decades resonated together that evening. We’re really proud of that – and above all, very grateful.”
The anniversary concert was recorded on video and audio. This special moment is now more than just a memory for those who were there.
