Suichu Spica (水中スピカ) is an independent Japanese math-rock and post-rock band formed in Kyoto in 2018 and currently based in Tokyo. Operating entirely independently without major label or agency backing, the band has carved out a distinct and innovative niche in the global instrumental rock scene. Their signature sound fuses complex, intricate math-rock structures, sweeping post-rock atmospheres, and technical guitar-tapping with catchy, accessible J-pop vocal melodies. Frontwoman Chiaki's unique style of singing while executing complex guitar-tapping figures anchors the band's identity.
