Interview with Fernanda Lira of CRYPTA at ROCKHARZ 2026. Fernanda and I discussed CRYPTA's unique sound and what it feels like to be an all-female death metal band from Brazil. She revealed some of the challenges that women in the music industry still face, and how she is gradually coming to accept her own role in paving the way for women in metal. Fernanda also told me how she once almost got lost in an abandoned mine during a US tour, and why she had explosive diarrhea while recording "Shades of Sorrow".
