Biography

Named after the affluent neighborhood in Toronto, Ontario where they grew up, The Beaches are a critically acclaimed Canadian alternative rock band known for their garage-pop energy, glam-rock swagger, and candid lyricism. Formed in 2009, the group evolved from their early teen pop-punk roots (originally performing as Done with Dolls) into a fierce, independent-spirited rock powerhouse.

The band broke out internationally with hits like "T-Shirt" (from their 2017 debut album Late Show) and achieved viral success with "Blame Brett" from their sophomore album Blame My Ex (2023). Over the years, they have earned multiple Juno Awards (including Group of the Year and Rock Album of the Year), toured alongside rock legends like The Rolling Stones and Foo Fighters, and cemented their status as staples of modern alternative rock.
