Vampire Bats are a Japanese garage-rock and psychobilly band formed in Kyoto. Known for their high-energy blend of primitive 1950s rockabilly, 1960s surf-punk, and classic horror-movie imagery, the group captures the raw, theatrical aesthetic of underground Japanese rock-and-roll.

Spearheaded by guitarist and songwriter YOU—whose pedigree spans legendary underground cult acts like Astro Babys, Cherry Bomb Candies, and Pink Moon Babies—the trio merges sharp vintage guitar tones, walking basslines, and infectious dance-beat rhythms. Following years of lineup iterations and early indie singles, the band solidified their lineup with bassist Holly and drummer Bleu to release their long-awaited debut full-length record, cementing their status as a unique staple of modern international punkabilly.
