SNM
Atmospheric Alt-Rock, Grunge & Post-Punk Trio
Biography & Band History
Originally formed in London and based out of Brighton, UK, SNM is an alternative rock and grunge three-piece fronted by vocalist and guitarist Amelia "Mimi" Giggins, alongside bassist Ethan Samuel Rose and drummer Jake. Originally coming together during secondary school as an all-female lineup, the band's moniker humorously arose from their original founders' initials, sticking as their personnel evolved into its current dynamic lineup.
Characterized by abrasive guitars, eerie restraint, and cathartic dynamic shifts, SNM blends 1990s grunge and post-punk aggression with melodic accessibility and haunting lyrical themes exploring religion, bodily autonomy, and identity. Emerging through the London and South Coast grassroots live circuits—including venues like Camden's rock clubs and The Windmill in Brixton—the band has built a dedicated underground following with their visceral, emotionally charged performances.
