Rolling Quartz (롤링쿼츠)
South Korean Hard Rock Quintet, Twin-Guitar Drive & Modern K-Rock Titans
Biography & Band History
Formed in Seoul in August 2019, Rolling Quartz is a five-member all-female hard rock band. The group emerged through the union of two underground acts from the Hongdae club circuit—Rolling Girlz and Rose Quartz—who merged their lineups and monikers to create a unified rock outfit.
Debuting officially in December 2020 with the hard-rocking single "Blaze," Rolling Quartz quickly garnered an international following through fiery live performances, viral rock covers, and streaming events. Unapologetically heavy in a music scene often dominated by electronic pop, they combine classic 1980s arena-rock punch, alternative metal distortion, and driving dual-guitar riffing with powerful vocal hooks. Across successful mini-albums including Fighting, Victory, and Roll the dice, the quintet has toured internationally throughout Europe and North America, establishing themselves as prominent leaders in modern Korean rock.
