BRUNHILDE - Rising From The Ashes (LIVE AT WACKEN 2026)
BRUNHILDE
German Crossover Force – Punk Energy, Heavy Metal Weight & Hard Rock Grit
Biography & Band History
Hailing from Fürth, Bavaria, Germany, BRUNHILDE was formed in 2013 by powerhouse frontwoman Carolin "Caro" Loy and guitarist/producer Kurt Bauereiß. Named after the fierce Valkyrie queen of Germanic heroic legend, the band was established to bridge raw street-level punk rock attitude, hard rock grooves, and modern alternative metal crunch.
Operating out of their own Streetlife Studios in Fürth—one of Germany's prominent recording facilities—the duo honed their sonic identity across early albums Dollhouse and Behind My Mind before partnering with legendary heavy metal producer Charlie Bauerfeind (renowned for his work with Motörhead, Blind Guardian, and Helloween). This collaboration propelled the band forward with the breakthrough concept LP To Cut a Long Story Short (2021) and the acclaimed 27 (2022), a dark thematic exploration of the infamous "27 Club". With an explosive live reputation earned supporting acts like Dark Tranquillity and Ensiferum, and hitting major stages such as Wacken Open Air, BRUNHILDE landed on the official German Album Charts with 2025's In Love Yours Hate.
