PLUSH

All-Female American Hard Rock Force, Modern Arena Anthems & Heavy Alt-Metal Riffs

Biography & Formation Overview

Formed in upstate New York in 2020, PLUSH is an all-female hard rock and alternative metal band established with the explicit mission of placing heavy, hook-driven rock back at the forefront of mainstream music. The group originated during the early COVID-19 pandemic when singer, songwriter, and guitarist Moriah Formica—who had previously gained national recognition as a prodigy contestant on Season 13 of NBC’s The Voice—teamed up remotely with viral drum sensation Brooke Colucci ("Rock Angel") to record a thunderous cover of Heart's "Barracuda".

The viral success of the collaboration prompted Formica and Colucci to assemble a permanent lineup, recruiting bassist Ashley Suppa and Berklee-trained lead guitarist Bella Perron (recommended directly through Halestorm's Lzzy Hale). Signing with Pavement Entertainment, Plush burst onto the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts with their breakout 2021 single "Hate". Following Colucci's departure in 2022, powerhouse Phoenix drummer Faith Powell seamlessly took over the kit, maintaining Plush's reputation as one of the tightest touring acts on high-profile arena runs alongside Slash, Alice in Chains, Halestorm, Evanescence, and Breaking Benjamin.

Band Lineup & Instrumental Mastery

Moriah Formica – Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar (2020–present)
Possesses one of modern rock's most commanding vocal instruments, blending aggressive, gritty rasp, wide operatic vibrato, and effortless multi-octave belts reminiscent of Ann Wilson and Lzzy Hale. On guitar, she drives the wall of sound with tight, drop-tuned palm-muted chugs and hard-rock rhythm crunch.
Ashley Suppa – Bass & Backing Vocals (2020–present)
Originally a guitarist, Suppa transitioned to bass for Plush, delivering punchy, distorted low-end drive, energetic stage acrobatics, and high vocal harmonies that tightly support Formica's lead melodies.
Faith Powell – Drums & Percussion (2022–present)
Joined the band at age 18 and mastered the full touring set in just ten days. Powell brings thunderous double-kick stamina, fast syncopated fills, and sharp pocket precision that grounds Plush's modern metal energy.
