Guitar Goddess: Sexism in the guitar community.

Image
Being a Guitar Goddess does not mean being the best guitarist out there.” To this community, the meaning of Guitar Goddess is feeling beautiful, confident & positive. Every female guitarist is a Guitar Goddess no matter what style of music she plays or how experienced she is. Because it's not about skill. It’s about passion. Thank you to all of the men that have been supportive to my channel over the years - viewers, fellow creators and brands. Your support means the world to me especially during times where I was dealing with "imposter syndrome." Thank you for encouraging me. Teaching me. And making me feel like a part of the community. Jassy J, Guitar Goddess: First Blues Jam

Image
While in Germany last year at GuitCon, I had the opportunity to take the stage with some really amazing people and experience my very first blues jam. Jassy from JJ's One Girl Band and I made a pact that for the last night of GuitCon that we would jump on stage together and do something outside of our comfort zones. We are hoping this video will inspire and motivate anyone who has maybe doubted themselves along their guitar journey to DO something that makes you uncomfortable and GO for it! Whether that is trying out for your school's talent show, playing an open mic at a local coffee house or asking out your crush with their favorite song, we want you to chase after it. My performance was NOWHERE near perfect, but the experience of getting onstage with the amazing people I met at GuitCon and just having fun was SO worth it. https://www.instagram.com/guitargoddesstv https://www.youtube.com/user/RageAgainstFacebook
