Biography
Hagane is a Japanese all-female heavy metal and power metal band formed in Tokyo in 2018. Founded by guitarist Sakura shortly after she finished high school, the band describes their signature sound as "harmonic metal." Their music features a blend of melodic power metal, soaring high-tone vocals, intricate twin-guitar harmonies, and a distinct blue visual aesthetic.
After building a strong following in Japan and releasing their debut full-length album, Hagane experienced a major lineup shift in 2023 when three members departed. Undeterred, founding member Sakura and bassist Sayaka recruited a new vocalist and drummer through auditions, successfully relaunching the band's new era in 2024.
