Sunday, January 25th 2020. LITA FORD is back on stage in Italy at Slaughter Club in Milano after more than 10 years and yours truly BARBARA CASERTA was so excited to welcome her back and to interview Lita, finally, for LINEA ROCK! My emotion is pure here, Lita is an idol, a pioneer for all us female musicians. From the early days with The Runaways to the new album now in the can, we discussed ‘bout lots of stuff: her book “Living Like a Runaway”, the shock becoming (basically overnight) a frontwoman & singer in this macho-rock world, her choice of having just men in her solo-band thru the whole career and the different dynamics in a girls-band, the magic of the 80s, her “Sex Sells!” attitude which she’s never felt guilty about, those long breaks, the “operation nostalgia” of the summer tours (including the one she’ll co-headline with Alice Cooper & Tesla across the US, recently announced), the italian attitude (her mom’s from Rome!), her own fave album and the classic song that still gives her chills playing, the “Carmelita-gate” and of course I tried to steal the secret of her ageless beauty! And as a friend, what does she wish and suggest to Ozzy Osbourne after the announcement he made about his health problems revealing Parkison’s disease just 3 days before this interview was filmed?
