THE STORY OF CHERRY OVERDRIVE
Rock ‘n’ roll meets driving meets female power! Cherry Overdrive can be a car or a woman, going forward, speeding, shredding, whatever she wants to do. Women should be able to fully show their potential, whatever they want to do in life.
We were at the rehearsal studio with my band, fooling around, when I came up with this guitar riff and thought it would be cool to add vocals and sing in unison on top of the riff. It has a bit of Zeppelin vibe to it. In the slide guitar solo, I was trying to picture when you sit in your car, having a smooth ride. Musically it takes you to those long guitar solos that you often hear in 70´s progressive rock. In the C-part the vocals have a cool reverb sound that takes you on a hippy trip.
